Old Towne Orange Spooktacular Navigational Challenge

Old Towne Orange is a historic district with that quaint small town feel deep in the heart of the city of Orange. The area features a neighborhood of Craftsman, Tudor and Bungalows amongst Spanish revival and other historic homes.

Every year the Old Towne Preservation Society holds a competition on best decorations for both Halloween and Christmas.  Some of the clues will include who has won what award.

Join us for this Spooktacular Navigational Event on Oct 26th at 5:30pm.

This event will be a Score O which means you do not have to go in order. You may go any direction you choose and gain as many points as you can within the time limit. The further out the clues, the more points they are worth but judge your time carefully, those penalties add up quick.

Where: Meet at parking structure at corner of lemon and Maple (there is a section just West of parking where bikes can be stored. This will be the start/ finish)

Meeting time 5:30: maps will be handed out and instructions given. This is your time to plot your route. Pencils and clue sheets provided.

Start time: Mass start at 6pm sharp.

Finish: 7:30pm or earlier but absolutely no later than 7:30pm.

What is the time limit? 1.5 hrs. Penalties for coming in late are 10 points for every minute or fraction thereof.

Please check back in at finish even if you don’t want to continue. This ensures all participants are accounted for.

Points will be added up after the event and posted online on our website.

After finishing, participants are encouraged to enjoy the nearby downtown Orange district.

The following LAOC protocols will be in place at this event:
