Mother's Beach and Surrounding Neighborhood

A small contingent of LAOCers escaped the heat on a gorgeous Long Beach morning to explore the Belmont Shores neighborhood. Rich Hoesly's course extended further to the west than usual and included new and varied control locations. Lorenzo Rossi covered the most ground in the two-hour limit, but was overtime, allowing Wayne Cottrell to win the event by a 40 point margin. Janice Flint was the top femaie and third overall.
