The fast running at Pierce College led to some exciting COOL finals. Making smart route choices and executing them cleanly at speed was the key to victory. Multiple loops made for a lot of people running in many different directions. You had to stay focused on your own course and not get led astray when you passed other controls.

Alex Kiperman won the Green course, but was followed closely by Mikhail Biryukov. Mikhail's very clean run gave him the Varsity win for the day which resulted in tieing for the overall gold medal for the season. Noelani Lopez, Varsity Female winner, also put in an excellent run, coming in as the first female and sixth overall on Green.

On the Orange course, JV winners Nathaniel Curiel and Corinne Davila had excellent runs, staying well ahead of their competition. In Intermediate, Sung Kim and Yireh Ban had no trouble staying at the top of the leader boards.

Wayne Cottrell and Gabor Vari both ran twice, with Wayne ekeing out faster times than Gabor on both White and then Orange.

Special Thanks to Roland Hansson, Rich Hoesly, and Karen Murphy for coming out early and helping to set up in the rain. And to Bill Lauper for handling the start and making sure everyone understood the format.
