An aging map and a flat area made for challenging courses at Santa Fe Dam. The vegetation couldn't be counted on, so compass skills were very important. John Phillips and Darren Robinson split the course setting duties and admirably rose to the occasion when the park asked for some late changes to the courses.

Aron Walker from BAOC handily won the Red course and Eldorado's James Prunty took the honors on Green. Michael Hart showed his improving skills with a nice win on Brown. The team of Joshua Garrett and Alvey Coloma managed to come back from a bee sting encounter to win the Orange course. Yellow had the largest crowd of any course and Sayim Gokyar managed to best all of the competition. First time team La Presa Lees smoked through the White course and decided to keep going with another run on Yellow.

COOL competition continued with some modified scoring to allow partner running for safety at this venue. Nikita Phillips took over the Varsity Male lead, but can he keep it? Yireh Ban is on her way to clinching the Female Intermediate title early in the season. While Troy maintains a strong lead in Intermediate Team competition, Chaparral is now leading in both Varsity and JV. You can find the updated COOL scores here.
